According to the BRT project director on Feb. 11, 2025, preparation for construction is scheduled to start in March 2025, including removal of medians. Bus Rapid Transit improvements are scheduled to begin late 2025 and will last about 18 months. During that time:

• Colfax will not be closed end to end during construction. Rather, construction will be phased from Elm Street to Monaco, and in the Mayfair Town Center.
• One lane of traffic in each direction will be open during construction and access will be maintained to all businesses. Some on-street parking may be temporarily unavailable during construction of transit stations (Elm, Hudson, Krameria). Side streets will remain open.
